As a touchstone of claymation and British culture, Wallace & Gromit has been referenced in many other works.

Television and movies[]

Feathers, and a badly-coloured Wallace & Gromit can be seen in the background.

  • The Simpsons - in the episode HOM'R, a booth at a convention shows images of Wallace, Gromit, and Feathers. In Angry Dad: The Movie a Wallace and Gromit parody known as "Willis and Crumble in Better Gnomes and Gardens" is shown, it has many allusions to the opening scene of Curse of the Were-Rabbit and exaggerates the British influence in Wallace and Gromit with use of stereotypical slang such as "tip top" as well as references to Marmite and penny farthing bikes. Nick Park cameos as himself, the creator of the fictional cartoon. While at an animation festival, Wallace, Gromit & Feathers can be seen in the background.
The-Simpsons Wallace
  • Journey to the center of Homer

Milhouse tells Bart that he should watch the Wallace & Gromit shorts A Matter of Loaf and Death and The Wrong Trousers.

  • Angry Dad: The Movie

One of the other nominees for the oscars was Willis & Crumble in Better Gnomes and Gardens, a parody of Wallace & Gromit.

Miss Pennyfarthing
  • Miss Pennyfarthing was a character who appeared in The Simpsons. She appeared in the episode "Angry Dad: The Movie". In that episode there were short films, and Miss Pennyfarthing appeared in the short film called Willis & Crumble in Better Gnomes and Gardens. In that film she asks Willis & Crumble to restore the gnomes. She was so proud she invited Willis to have tea and marmalade. Gromit has lunch but a bird switches on the machine, it turns Crumble into a gnome. When Miss Pennyfarthing and Willis come outside they are shocked to see Crumble turn into a gnome.
  • Adventure Time - in the episode Five Short Graybles, Princess Bubblegum says "cheese" in a similar manner to Wallace, her mouth also extends to a Parkian grin.
  • ReBoot - Feathers cameos multiple times in this CGI series, albeit without the permission of Aardman. This reportedly let to in-studio drama over a potential lawsuit, though no legal action was taken.
  • The Lenny Henry Christmas Show - This special featured a live action parody of The Wrong Trousers titled The Right Trousers, which featured Wallace building trousers that made him a perfect dancer to impress women. The ending of this skit featured Gromit saving Wallace as per usual, albeit from a fate that would not be appropriate to describe on this wiki. This skit has somewhat of an ironic cult following.

Video games[]
