The Austin A35 is was a small family car made by Austin between 1956 and 1968. The A35 Van owned by Wallace is a Van model that over it's life has undergone several changes depending on Wallace's intentions.
The van has presumably had a hard life even before Wallace bought it, owing to the many rust patches and small dents all over it.
Nick park owned an A35 and was sold at auction on eBay for Wallace and Gromit's charity "The wallace and gromit children's foundation".
Like previous vehicles owned by Wallace and Gromit, it has been given several gadgets and contraptions. Some are simply modern touches, such as a driver airbag in the steering wheel.
More ingenious additions include a starter, a mechanical arm that comes out from the front grill with a starting handle due to the A35 not having an electric starter
Curse of the Were-Rabbit
The Austin A35 Van first appeared in Curse of the WereRabbit as a van that was used by Wallace and Gromit when they were running Anti-Pesto. At the time the van is a light blue and has the registration HOP 21T.
A Matter of Loaf and Death
The same van(or possibly a second) now has a two-tone cream and pale green(cream body with pale green lower body and roof) and has been rebranded "Top Bun Traditional Bakery", with the slogan "Dough to Door Delivery" on the back door.
The roof has also been modified from the standard flat roof to a high-roof style for more storage capacity and the section of roof above the front cab can be opened for when Wallace and Gromit are wearing their tall chef hats.
